Autumn J. Bullard received the B.S. degree in electronics engineering from Norfolk State University, Norfolk, VA, USA, in 2013. She is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree in biomedical engineering at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI, USA. From 2010 to 2012, she was a Summer Research Fellow at West Virginia University, University of Missouri, and Georgia Institute of Technology. Her research interests include the development of low power, fully implantable neuroprosthetic devices to be used for cortically controlled functional electrical stimulation to assist in rehabilitation. Ms. Bullard is a recipient of the National Science Foundation Fellowship. She is also a member of the Society for Neuroscience as well as the National Society of Black Engineers.
