Pieter Beyl

Pieter Beyl was born in Anderlecht, Belgium, in 1982. He received the M.S. degree in mechanical engineering and the Ph.D. in engineering sciences for his research conducted in the field of rehabilitation robotics, aiming at the design, construction and control of powered exoskeletons for gait training in mobility impaired patients from the Vrije Universiteit Brussel, Brussels, Belgium, in 2005 and 2010, respectively.

Since 2011 he has been with the Mechatronics Department of Sirris, the Collective Center of the Belgian Technology Industry, Heverlee, Belgium, helping Belgian companies innovate with mechatronics.
